With today’s release, Anthology has unlocked a new revenue stream specifically catered to the photographer community.
Over the last several years, we’ve seen the rise of direct person-to-person patronage for content. Twitch, Patreon, and even Youtube have entered the space of creator support payments from fans and followers on their platforms.
These platforms have changed the way individuals consume content. And it has proven that there are large markets of people that will actively support content creators and creatives alike.
While these markets have been great for artists and visual creators, they primarily focus on certain forms of content: namely – those that aren’t photography. We want to change that. As photographers, we spend a lot of time creating content and editing for distribution. It’s essentially important to unlock this massive revenue potential to our market as well.
At Anthology, we’re happy to be creating this revenue stream for our platform users. It fits in to our vision and mission of creating one environment where artists and consumers can go to enjoy still imagery.
More will be coming in the near future to enhance this functionality. If you haven’t created an Anthology account yet, now’s your perfect opportunity.
